Well before I go into any detail about the first week of school, I'll talk about moving day.

Friday, September 13, 2013

First off, hopefully this semester wont be a bad one since we moved in on "Friday the 13th"

Morgan and I live in Hillcrest Apartments, it is really nice. It's a two story apartment; living area and kitchen downstairs, and bedrooms and bathroom upstairs.

Morgan and I share a room, and our other roommates have their own private room. Upon arriving, we checked in at the office and got our keys and room number (Apt. 82).

After moving all our crap in the apartment; I put all the food away, as Morgan, Mom and Dad went up in our room and started setting up our Laptops, Wii and TV.

Morgan quickly realized that she left her bathroom bag at the hotel in Idaho Falls, so she and Mom went back while Dad and I stayed and finished setting up wifi and organizing our room a little.

I put away our jackets, and made our beds. Dad got the printer set up for both of our laptops, and set up Amazon on the Wii.

When we were done, we walked down towards the Freeway exit, so Mom and Morgan wouldn't have to drive up to the apartment and drive back down. We timed it perfectly, we met at the McDonald's and went through the drive-through before heading up to Yellow Stone.

When we got to the entrance of Yellow Stone, we had to drive in and turn around because there was an accident that prevented us from continuing further up the road. So we did some exploring; there were several small tourist shops that had lots of Yellow Stone merchandise. I bought a couple of post cards, and Morgan bought some stickers that she wants to put on her Ukelele case.

About an hour or so later, the accident was cleared up, and we were able to go through.
Here some of my favorite pictures that I took and that I edited on Thursday. (Same ones that I posted on FB and Flickr)

Yellow Stone was really cool, really pretty, and all the gyesurs and other landmarks throughout are all natural. Throughout the day, we saw; 2-3 Moose, 8-9 Buffalo, 1 Squirrel, 1 Chipmunk, and a possible Elk (Couldn't tell if it was Moose or an Elk).

We were at Yellow Stone practically the whole afternoon, we drove out the front gate a little after 9pm.

For dinner that night, we went to a pizza place. It was all right, the only thing was when you tried to eat your pizza all the toppings started falling off, so you had to eat it with a fork and knife.

We got back to Rexburg and to our apartment around 11:30pm.

Saturday September 14, 2013

Woke up around 7, but didn't get out of bed until closer to 8:30.

Today we got my books that I reserved, and then basically setting up our room; putting all our clothes away, organizing the closet space, and our shelf. While doing this, we were watching some TV shows that were on Amazon; Under The Dome, and then Falling Skies.

Now for the fun stuff...first week of School

Monday September 16, 2013

Woke up for work at 3:30, but when I got to work, my I-Number didn't work for the front door, then it didn't work for clocking in, so Dan told me to go home and he'll call the people who are in charge of making sure everyone is in the system.

At 8, Dan called me letting me know that I'm cleared to come into work tomorrow (Yay!!)

First class started at 9:45, but I read it as 9, so I left an hour early and was sitting in class with 3 other people until others started trickling in around 9:30.

After Art History, I had Doctrine and Covenants. We had to introduce ourselves to the person who we sat next to, well that was easy for me since I've known the person I sat next to for my entire life...Morgan :)

I was done for the day after D&C. So I decided to get working on stuff that was due tomorrow, which was English, and I also did the first assignment of Natural Disasters which was an Introduction of ourselves.

Wednesday September 18, 2013

Well today was a same old day...work, classes, then work on HW. We had a meeting with the manager at 9pm, basically discussing upcoming clean checks and what to expect for them. We will be having clean checks every other Wednesday starting next week.

Last day of classes this week...

After work, I got ready for my photography class that started at 8. As I was leaving the apartment at 7:45, I checked my email on my phone, and was happy to see that Photo was canceled for the day since my teacher woke up sick. So glad I checked my email before I got to campus.

Now I have free time till 11:15 when I leave for English. So I decided that I would go through the pictures I took at Yellow Stone, and edit some of them...the ones that are above.

Nothing much happened after classes, just watched some TV shows.

No Classes today, just work.

After work, I looked up how to sell pictures on IStock, and realized that I need to have pictures that are 10-24MB, and mine are either1MB or less. Then I looked into the Disney College Program, and decided that I would apply for it, and hopefully get to work at WDW or Disneyland over summer (Mar/April to August). Shortly after applying, I got an email saying that I have to complete an interview within 3 days. So I'll probably do that tomorrow morning some time.

Stayed up watching Suits, and fell asleep.

Today, Saturday September 21, 2013

Woke up around 8 and ate breakfast and went to the gym. Did elliptical for 20 min, then did circuit training.
After coming back from the Gym, I went to do that interview thingy for Disney College Program. The interview ended up being an online survey asking questions about how well I work with others, if I'm adventurous, positive, able to talk to people and get to know them, if I'm willing to work with others, if I'm good at remembering names, and different things like that. So, I answered honestly. Ended up that I don't have what they are looking for someone, and don't continue along in the process of working for Disney. I was sad, I felt like I was never good at anything that I wanted to do. After talking to Dad and Mom, I felt a lot better. So now, I've decided that I might try and apply to become an EFY Counselor over the summer, regestration/applications open up in October or December this year, so maybe this will help me become better in my people skills and I can do better next year if I decide to reapply for the Disney College Program.

Anyway, tonight we are going to Idaho Falls with Alisha; Walmart, Winco and Staples.

  1. Don't stress it Megan...These tests can seem crazy and hard to get into. We all know how awesome you are and I think you'd make a great EFY counselor!!! Good luck!!!
